Proudly serving Orrville, Dalton, Kidron, Marshallville and North Lawrence
The Salvation Army has been serving the Orrville and surrounding community for over 68 years. Bob "Punch" Maiwurm, a local clothing store owner, had a vision back then to help those who were less fortunate. He kept food and medicine in the basement of his store to assist those in the community with dire needs. Due to his compassion and hard work The Salvation Army is able to continue his efforts for those that are in need. In the 1990's, the Salvation Army moved to a location on Market Street. In 2012, after a successful capital campaign, we moved into our current location on West High St. With that move, we were able to honor Punch and the Maiwurm family and now named, The Salvation Army- Maiwurm Service Center. We are blessed to be a part of a community that gives back in the ways it does. We are overwhelmed by the support this community.
