The Salvation Army Aims to Increase Impact by Adding Director of Advancement
The Salvation Army Greater Toledo has announced the addition of Kimberly Danes, MOL, CFRE, as the Director of Advancement. In this new position, Danes will be responsible for major gifts, annual fundraising, red kettles, grants, deferred gifts, events, volunteers, corporate support, and community engagement in a five-county area (Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Fulton, and Henry).
Before joining The Salvation Army, Danes served as Director of Development for Black Swamp Bird Observatory. Prior to that position, she served as Director of Development for The Ability Center.
Danes, a native of Elmore who now lives in Toledo, is excited to be able to do the most good for the most people in the most meaningful way. A graduate of Owens Technical College, University of Toledo, and Lourdes University, Danes has dedicated the past three decades to philanthropic work in NW Ohio as a volunteer, donor, and fundraiser.
