The 15+ Learning Zones in Northeast Ohio provide services to pre-k and school age students Monday – Friday.
The Learning Zones provide meaningful opportunities for learning, resulting in academic, social, emotional and spiritual growth in children and their families. Our staff works with local teachers and administrators in order to provide a collaborative approach to assisting the student. The student is engaged in practical hands on learning that sometimes is not permissible in a traditional classroom.
Not only do students receive help with their homework, it is checked before going home. Students are able to work on school projects at the center. They also receive tutoring in areas such as reading and math after receiving an assessment upon enrollment.
The Salvation Army Learning Zones also provide a number of enrichment programs through team-building, art, physical activities, and science to enhance their capabilities and self-esteem, with the goal of teaching them to make positive choices in all aspects of their lives.
For hours and questions please contact the Divisional Learning Zone Director at
