Helping People Enjoy Their Later Years

Being a patient or living in a nursing home can be lonely. That's why The Salvation Army Senior Services Ministy provides daily recreation and socialization, congregate meals, and home delivery meals for those who reside within the service area.

A kind word, a small gift or a requested prayer are only part of the special visit of this simple kindness of sharing human company that helps to combat loneliness or despair as seniors get older.

The program's goal is to promote independence, wellness and personal fulfillment for the elderly by meeting economical, nutritional, physical and social needs. Area residents age 60 and older are invited to participate in the vast array of programs, services and activities. Fees for programs and services are not required; however, donations are gratefully accepted.
