Food Pantry
The food pantry is housed at our Corps Center (413 East 4th Street, East Liverpool, ohio 43920). We try to help everyone who comes to us for food or referrals to to other services at The Salvation Army or elsewhere in the community.
Our pantry distributes food Monday through Thursday | 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm and Friday | 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Food includes portion-appropriate canned and dried food, perishables such a meat, bread, produce and pastries. Clients may come in Monday through Friday during open hours to help themselves to any bread and produce that is available.
The pantry is in need of any type of canned (pop-top lids when possible) or packaged foods (especially meat, sauces, dried beans and rice, peanut butter and jars of baby food). In addition hygiene items such as diapers, laundry soap and bath items as well as metal can openers are also welcome.
The pantry is largely supported through the work of volunteers who help manage and distribute the food.
Utility Assistance
The Salvation Army recognizes that a request for help with a utility shut off or eviction often involves a complex set of circumstances. For this reason, each applicant receives much more than the processing of his or her paperwork. Through a one-to-one interview, the Salvation Army caseworker aims to identify the often multiple factors contributing to the household’s emergency situation and provide other forms of assistance, referrals, budget counseling, and emotional support as necessary. This holistic approach of meeting need wherever it is found allows The Salvation Army to help in a way that reduces the likelihood of future crisis, and, in many cases, prevents homelessness.

Feed the Community & ELSA's Kitchen | Hot Meals
The Salvation Army opens our dining room at 413 East 4th Street in East Liverpoolto the community the last week of every month, Monday - Friday | 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Anyone is welcome to come and share a free hot meal.
Last year we served over 77,000 hot meals to hungry people.
