Here at The Salvation Army in Northwest Ohio, there are many ways to make a contribution. Whether you donate financially, donate goods, donate your time, or support us through social media; with your help, The Salvation Army can continue to reach out to individuals and families to offer a hand-up, not a hand-out.
When you donate to The Salvation Army you are helping those who are in need in Northwest Ohio. From providing food for the hungry, shelter when there is nowhere else to go, or toys for children on Christmas who otherwise would go without, these are just some of the ways your gifts are put to work.
At The Salvation Army, 83 cents of every dollar is used to directly support programs and services. Our supporters have become part of a network of thousands of Northwest Ohio residents who donate their time, money and talents to the work of The Salvation Army. We thank you for your generosity and your support for our mission.

DONATE AN IN-KIND GIFT
At The Salvation Army, we know the power of in-kind contributions. Gifts In-Kind allow us to build our capacity, hold down our overhead costs, expand our capabilities, and ultimately, serve more people in our community.
As a nonprofit that operates several different social service programs, we always need a wide range of contributions. Some of our most needed items include canned food, clothing, bus tokens, grocery vouchers, school supplies, school uniforms, diapers and personal toiletries.
Gifts In-kind also allow individuals and organizations to donate excess inventory or specialized products to assist those with an immediate need, while knowing that their contributions are going towards a good cause. Many people enjoy giving physical items, since they are able to see the tangible benefit of their contribution.
All gifts are distributed through our social service programs, family service offices, or to our clients via special events. In fact, many organizations choose to partner with us through special events and provide the physical goods necessary - such as food for a Thanksgiving holiday meal - to not only make the event successful, but to expand the number of people served.Benefits of Corporate In-Kind Giving
